Sporty Aquatimer Family
The current collection of the IWC Aquatimer contains different watch types, led by the Chronograph Edition “Galapagos Islands” whose stainless steel case is complexly coated in black rubber. The mechanic chronograph movement 79320 features a date and day display as well as a stopwatch function with minutes and seconds and a water resistance up to 12 bar. While four out of the watches are housed in a case of stainless steel, the Aquatimer Chronograph Edition “Expedition Charles Darwin” appears in 18 K rose gold, by IWC being referred to as bronze. The blend of black dial and bronze case at a 44 mmm diameter results in raving beauty. Equally captivating but rather by internal than external benefits, the Automatic 2000 bears a water resistance of up to 200 bar. Although black definitely counts for the dominant color in Aquatimer dial design, as a matter of course blue or white dials are made available just as well. The IWC Aquatimer is a sports watch that proves perfect performance not only in underwater use but also on stage: therefore the “enfant terrible” among German actors, Götz George might have made more than one model by IWC his own.
